Oh yeah a "revolutionary" new design that just so happens to keep the intercooler low.
Airflow? Come on scientist tell me more about that... Pretty obvious that to get the power up you are going to have to get more air in. And of course a completely different map to feed it... And control the active shutters that are the ONLY (obvious anyways) thing that is there to control the condensate. Im sure the angles of the charge tubes where well thought out to not let air stall. And i'm sure overall its a much better design. Yet still hesitations...
Thanks for your contribution bud

I was actually hoping you would take a look at one of the online sites and see how different the new motor is from the old one. Sorry I wasn't able to help you.

Before you defend the weep hole, I'll ask you the same thing

Find me one reputable person on any forum that's done this with documented pictures AND videos on a 2015 or newer truck

I can't find a single one, and S77 hasn't shown me any - been asking for months

I said if i had one i would drill in a new york minute... So far as i can tell one "guy" did it and there are a bunch of people that are anxiously waiting for the next.
Heres the thing. Its a 70k truck (obviously it shouldn't do it) BUT for 200 bucks i can get a new intercooler? Yeah ill take that. Better than my truck sitting at a dealership while i drive a ford focus. No thanks.
And if the tranny grenades or some other problem that it has to go to the dealership? I have aaa. Tow it home, swap ic, call ford

You guys are funny - why not learn from the folks who have the most ecoboost experience? Explain to me why every ecoboost forum has a sticky about the intercooler weep hole?

Why do you care?

And don't spout off the "safe and enjoyable ecoboost experience" BS.

That's a valid question honestly. Can we confirm if he is doing an alt name?

Why do I care? I don't want anyone to go through the ecoboost fiascos that I have been through. You will make yourself crazy chasing the misfire... until you understand the root cause of the misfire and drill the weep hole, you will be chasing your tail.

You keep ignoring the question every time I ask

Ignore "Ray" on this forum

Show me posts of weep holes on 2015 and newer trucks

Show me the sticky on any 2015 and newer forum

He/she’s using more than just one other account.

Not to be a stick in the mud though, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, and the docs posted on google do show Ford acknowledging this as a potential issue. It’s mysterious why they haven’t undertaken any of the proposed actions though.

We just have to ride this out a while and see if anyone can reproduce the condensation overload in a ‘17+ Raptor and see what is done to remediate it.
Right now, we got nothing.
