So I took my Raptor into the local Ford dealership for just an oil change and tire rotation. Only 5,000 miles.

I told them to level it at the same time and I brought in a print out of how to do it. The mechanic came and talked to me about it first and I made sure he understood what he was doing.

So I go to check out after everything was done and they said they ordered me a 150$ kit for the allignment through Ford because my allignment was too far out of wack.

If you are referring to the perch adjustment for the front...
Yes...you have to get a realignment when adjusting the perch.
should cost give or take $300 out the door w/alignment cams.

I'm on middle and didn't need it. Most that go to top need it from what I understand.

I concur with Phyguy, but it doesn't hurt to have them since they will help with keeping it aligned if you do a lot of off-roading.

Ok, it was just something new I had never heard of before. I did go to the top and I did have an allignment done already. They are charging me for another allighnment and the cam caster kit

200 for the level and allignment and another 200 for the rest. Kinda ****** me off

$400 does not sound to bad including the kit. I think what would **** me off is the fact they did not tell you upfront the total cost. Dealers around me don't even know what a Perch adjustment is...

The best I have seen is $250 and that was not a dealer , middle perch and no kit. The fact that the dealer performed the mod, means anything happens and they are responsible and can't wiggle out of a warranty claim.

Dealer top perch/cam kit/alignment for $400 is a good price.. Most dealers will not do a perch adjustment because of a service bulletin that says the suspension is not adjustable.

I'm having mine done by the dealer - $400, but with a guarantee that it won't affect warranty. The fact that I'm having an axle replaced at the same time under warranty makes it worth the extra $100 I'm paying.
