First reactions coming from a 2020 802a (Leadfoot) to a 2024 R (Avalanche)...just one man's opinion.

1. Generally like the exterior look of the Gen2 more than the Gen3 (tailgate, front bumper, lights, etc.)
2. Electronics much improved, but if I had a choice between a Gen3 (non-R) and Gen2 I think I'd still go Gen 2.
3. Power, engine sound and overall platform on the R worth a premium...$30K premium w/ markup maybe not but $15K for sure IMO
4. I feel like Leadfoot still the best color Ford produced. Avalanche would be second...but if they made an R in LF I'd be all over that
5. I was averaging around 14-15mpg on Gen2...lucky if I see 10 on the R
6. Get a lot of people wanting to come and talk to me about it. Both enthusiasts and others who wanted to know what the motor was. Must be making a lot of noise.

Out of curiosity, where have folks had the best luck selling their Raptors? Looks like this forum requires 100 posts to list in classifieds. My Gen2 is mint and a seasonal vehicle with only 13K miles and I find the typical "instant price" sites are nowhere near what this is worth. Gonna give autotrader a spin...but having one of the lowest miles Gen2's out there, are there other Raptor enthusiast sites that folks have used (Reddit, etc.)?

I doubt many enthusiast are going to buy a gen 2 now that 3 has been out so long and is a better vehicle. Just keep it listed on carguru and cars.com for what you want and be patient.
I saved $ on G2 and upgraded the suspension because I am an enthusiast and don’t wanna worry about thrashing a new one. Just my choice.
