Ford should have an answer and changes for the ecoboost Raptor. The RHO has much better numbers in HP, torque and at least straight forward performance- off-road different story. The ecoboost Raptor hasn’t seen engine changes since introduced in 2017.
Everyone realizes a 93 octane tune on the 3.5HO effectively matches the HP & crushes the TQ made by a stock RHO while also weighing ONE THOUSAND lbs less!?!?

Both engines have forged internals

The 3.5HO has more displacement but the inline configuration of the hurricane has always seemed to be slightly more preferred for durability…the R? The RHO is no comparison.

I wish the 3.5 was a straight 6…regardless of HP that is a tip in the RHOs favor. I can’t imagine there is much more tune ability out of that 540 hp 3.0. If the Raptor had the same HP/liter thats 630 HP out of a 3.5…..from the factory…lol
Hmmm…yeah that’s crazy, it’s not like they haven’t already put a version of this engine in a car for like a decade actually exceeding that power level lol!!!

I agree straight 6 seems to be the most preferred layout for performance enthusiasts, but there have been some great V6 engines over the years as well

Well yeah, but they probably aren’t going to put an exact ford GT engine in a 80K Raptor. We can all wish i suppose lol..
