Gen II are already dropping a bit... I have a 19 loaded and immaculate with 20K miles, and dealer hit me with 67... KBB is 74
What one dealer offered means nothing really. Some, ok, many, are just ****. Trade value is all over the lot. When I traded my 2020 M5, BMW dealer where I bought it 9 months prior offered me 92k. Another BMW dealer offered 96. Porsche dealer offered 98. Guess who got it.

It’s all hyperbole- NOBODY has driven a gen3 Raptor & barely anyone has even seen one, I’d wager 99% of people who have traded away their gen2 and/or have a deposit on a gen3 haven’t even sat in one

why would anyone wanna trade something away in exchange for pixie dust & fairy tales when you could just drive a REAL gen2 raptor in the flesh (& I think the exterior design is more appealing in gen2....gen3 interior/tech def better) until these gen3’s start hitting the lots?!!!!!

it’s going to take a WHILE for the new vehicle supply/market to get saturated or back up to full dealer lots, in meantime high end/quality used vehicles are going to continue to hold value well. It’s not like the second gen3 trucks hit the actual dealer lots gen2 prices plummet - if anything they may firm up more when dealers - who have been working w/ limited inventory/gross sales to begin for going on a year or more- are just going to roll over & start giving trucks away @ invoice. Will be quite the opposite. This situation is going to take quite a while to resolve itself. I’m in the business (manufacturing for auto industry & OEM suppliers) & can say this w/ absolute confidence.

Then there’s the whole other concern of buying a brand new design that had to be worked through a number of major issues not the least of which would be a major supply chain bottleneck due to trade war + sea container shortage/re-routing that got exacerbated by the canal blockage AND the obvious pandemic factor.

unless you have something you can see/touch/feel & suits your needs/makes you happy enough to replace your Raptor w/ I’d just have some patience & sit tight

a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush is quite poignant here
Yep

Little off topic but has anybody been keeping up with the Bronco Raptor? From the spy shots that thing looks like it gonna be a Beast. I thinking of holding out for the newest "Raptor" family member.
What about the ranger Raptor?

I believe I have one order of Pixie dust and two orders of fairy tales. Lol. Which equals one Raptor and two Broncos on order. Ford has put alot of RD in both the 3rd Gen Raptor and Bronco. From what I've read and seen they'll both be fantastic vehicles. Alot of great walk around videos on both. Besides I'm one of the guys that likes the latest and greatest, plus love to be the first in the neighborhood to own something new, lol.

I think both the bronco & gen3 raptor will prove to be awesome vehicles/platforms. I applaud your desire to have the latest & greatest & be able to to call it like it is after the fact once you’ve had real world experience. It’s a lil brave to pay big $$$ on a few vehicles that are basically untested & you haven’t seen or driven.

I just don’t have the inclination to take that plunge.

I think that may be the new business model that Ford may be pushing: Direct sale to consumer ordering, but I could be wrong. *** do I know?

Ford has tested the the Bronco's and Gen 3's with thousands of logged in miles. I guess I'm one of those folks that don't need to see in person or test drive a vehicle before buying. There's plenty of informative video's on the internet that's helped me with my decision to purchase. I usually keep my vehicles 3 years and trade them in, just about the time they're falling out of warranty. Worse case scenario I might be going to the dealer for a couple recalls, no big deal in my book.
The upside is I'll be the first kid on the block with a New Bronco and Gen 3 Raptor. LOL

I sold my 19 with 21K miles for 70K .... still only 1500 under msrp when I bought it over 2 years ago... 21 on the way. I get that its a new design. However, the interior is really not- its been in the F150 for a bit, the only thing that is really new is rear suspension. the 5 link is a proven design.. not much to go wrong.. I say with Gen II prices still pretty strong, do it if you can get an allocation for a 21
