This says it all, and from a SCab owner. With a Screw, you don't need to make it work, it just does. With a Scab, you have to figure out how to make it work, or if it will work for you.

I have a great family and especially a great wife. She has said figure out what you want and order your truck. I was really torn on the scab vs screw decision. Took my wife with me to the dealership today....She said screw (for the first time in years). Order placed. 2014 cant get here soon enough.

I went screw only because I have a kid.. if not I would have went SCAB. The rear regular doors make things a ton easier getting my kid and all of her stuff in and out.

Same reason I went with the screw. Also two dogs, way easier getting them in and out. Extra fuel and towing helps too since we occasionally pull a travel trailer.

For off-road, I'd stick with the SCAB. If it's a family vehicle and you really need the space, then I guess the SCREW but otherwise, I think the SCAB is better all around for what it was designed for.
