Are 2024 - 2025 transmissions better than 2020?

Thank heavens I bought a 100K mile extended warranty--just had my 2020 transmission rebuilt for the second time--so wondering if the 2024/2025 transmissions are any better?

I have a bead on a 2024 37 package with 5800 miles. Dealer is asking $85k.

I ordered a 2025--but Ford hasn't scheduled it yet.

I had a 2020 that i bought new and the transmission was horrible until i did the Cobb tune. I have since bought a new 2024 37 package and am very happy with the trans. Acts and shifts better than my 2020 with the tune. I think it's just the luck of the draw, some people say the new trans don't shift any better than previous years but mine seems much better. Anyway, good luck with whichever truck you purchase.

Did you do the Cobb tune on the new one?

Cobb doesn't make a tune for the 2024 Raptor. I don't believe anyone has been able to reprogram the ECU yet. To be honest , I wouldn't put a tune on my new truck even if there was one available. I'm super happy with the way it runs and shifts in stock form.

My 24's transmission is night and day better than my 18's.

My 24 Raptor 10 speed is significantly better than my 18 XLT 10 speed was.

I had a 2020 Raptor and had the vehicle in for transmission service numerous times. It was completely rebuilt and started having the same issues again. I traded it in for a 2024 and so far it shifts great but I opnly have 12K miles on it so far.

My 2018 raptor trans took a dump, replaced under extended warranty at 70k. Prior to adding the Cobb tune the shifts were extremely rough and abrupt.

I’m in a 24 now and the stock trans is smooth as butter. Noticeably better from the prior gen.
