I got to add this missing piece to the puzzle.

Actually there was no mistake made when the OP got that package, he was supposed to get it.

You mean to tell me by way of magic, he wanders here, another mistake? Then he gets not only good advice, but in my opinion, life changing advice, another mistake?

I do not think so at all. I am going to let you guys know what you actually did for the OP if he gets the lesson correct.

Everyone that posted put a new tool in the Op's box for his long journey thru life. It's really not about returning what he did not pay for. That's just an action to perform. It's all about him taking this and learning what the right thing to do is. It's about being a better person, a better husband, a better father, a better friend, however he chooses to use the knowledge.

What's a no brainer for us "return it, it's the right thing to do" is not so easy for him. Hopefully now it will be easier.

My fear is that the OP does not come back and read this.

OP phone home........ OP phone home.

If you read this OP, post back, but don't tell us what you are going to do and how honest you are, those are just words.

Just tell us all one simple sentence " Mike Hammer, I got the lesson and I understand. I am keeping my tools so I could fly with the eagles and be successful in life."

That's all we need to hear so we can sleep better and know another did not give in to the dark side.

What would you like the customer to do if you had made that mistake?

I do not think I understand the question. But, why would anything change, in the advice that has been given in the above posts?

Do the right thing no matter what.

Reading this thread made me think of something that happened to me when I was about 20 .

I worked at this pizza joint called Dino's delivering pizza out of a Brand new Nissan Hardbody truck.

The manager at the time used to bring her little spoiled ass brat son to work with her after he got out of school. He was around nine years old. He was also one of the most ill mannered, foul mouthed little ass bag pranksters that has ever lived. He would do things like lock your keys in your car if he found them somewhere. This happened a couple of times because a few of us had the habit of showing up to work stoned every once in awhile. ( Don't be too harsh on me, I was twenty or so ) I'm sure none of you knuckleheads have ever touched the stuff. Anyway....

One day Jr. Was playing his favorite video game, Galaga I think it was, and he was near an all time high score. So I walked over and unplugged the machine. He had a total melt down. He proceeded to Chase me out the door with a giant 44 oz cup of Pepsi and then dumped it on the hood of my beloved first truck that I had ever owned.

So I picked him up in his brand new school clothes and slammed him on the hood. Not hard enough to hurt him mind you but just enough so I could use his entire body as a sponge to clean the Pepsi off my truck. Of course he was mortified and his mom was pissed and I got fired the next day.

When I got home that day I noticed a decent sized dent in the hood. To this day that is the most satisfying dent I have ever put in any vehicle I have ever owned.

So what does this story have to do with this thread ?

A few months ago I had the hood of my Raptor wrapped. The very next day a neighbors cat jumped from the roof of my home onto the hood and scratched the living Hell out of it.

So yeah karma is a bitch.

Even if she takes awhile to get back with you.

Should not have to ask what to do. Should have called them up at earliest time you could and return it.
