A couple thoughts... I've used my cans (the ones bought from the ExPo guy) a dozen times, and I'm not sure a nozzle like that is a good idea. There's no air vent, is there? So the fuel is going to glubglub out? And kinda splash everywhere while doing it?

I dunno. I've been pretty happy with a straight pour into a larger mouthed funnel. I've spilled a few times, but that's on me and not the concept. I'd be a bit concerned at how fast and clean a nozzle like that would end up being?

The vent is in between the threaded OD and the threaded ID. It is a rectangular hole.

I would still plan on using the Ford funnel. I think pouring straight out of the mouth of one of those cans would make a mess, if I wasn't 100% dead on with aiming it.

Gotcha. Its a grove cut into the nozzle's OD?
My description didn't have enough details. The vent is in between the threaded ID (nozzle will screw in here) and the threaded OD (cap screws on here) of the Scepter can.
Maybe this will help (it is a little hard to see):

I have never thought to use these as extra fuel cans haha being in the army we have a shit ton of these just laying around that ate in great condition too. As far as the seals I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter cause we've used diesel and gasoline in the same cans before and had no problems. I'm gonna go take a ride down I our motor pool and snatch me up 4 new cans haha

I have had a pretty difficult time sourcing nylon fittings. I found the components to make a bulkier version out of PVC (requires 3 parts and PVC glue), but would much rather have the 2-piece nylon version shown above. Anyone have any leads to get nylon fittings?

I think I may have found some at a relatively close Tractor Supply Company:
Green Leaf® Nylon Reducer Bushing, 2 in. MPT x 1 in. FPT - 2109258 | Tractor Supply Company
Green Leaf Nylon Straight Adapter, 1 in. MPT x 1 in. Barb - 2111035 | Tractor Supply Company

I will likely got on Saturday to pick some up. I might be able to grab some extras for anyone going to the Texas Run.

so any chance the Expo guy has any of these left?

If not, where is a good place to source these from?

Thanks!
