I really think I'm buying a SCAB!

My reasoning is as follows (please feel free to shoot holes in my logic - I am old enough to take advice well:) ):

1. 90 % of the time I will be alone in truck or have one front passenger.
2. If the back seat is cramped my wife won't try to make this the "family" trip vehicle...we'll go in her Mercedes SUV instead (less miles on my truck and fewer french fries in the seat cracks.... :)
3. SCAB just plain looks badass to me....
4. I am selling two vehicles and replacing with this truck - one is a Chevy Duramax Diesel crew and the other is a Shelby GT mustang. SCAB gives me the sporty feel and yet is still a truck!!
5. And don't laugh - the SCAB fits in my garage and the SCREW don't!!!!

Details on SGT...

I have the SCab and since I only have one kid and she is still small she fits just fine even behind me with the seat back. When she gets older she'll just have to ride behind my wife. A SCrew would be nice every now and then but honestly I don't need it all the time.

I've got an Scab, and its great offroad. I will say one thing though. If you ride it really hard you will start to get cab flex since there is no center pillar. After a long while your (I'm) going to end up with doors that don't shut right and possible sheet metal cracks.

I notice the flex down in Baja. The doors start moving up and down and they squeak.

I got a Super Cab Ranger. When in a parking lot what a goat screw opening that extra door with another car parked along side. Other wise it works. O ordered a 2012 SCrew Raptor. Will be easier with passengers. The Camaro holds no passengers lol.

I have been in two situations where if my truck would have been even a couple of inches longer, I would have been stuck. One was on a tight trail at Barnwell. I had to go through some trees due to the path the trail took. Took 15 minutes of backing up and pulling forward. I would have never gotten through it in a S-crew. The other time was in New Mexico, had to turn around on the trail. I got a little high centered. Would have been even more high centered, likely stuck if I would have been in a S-crew.

For high-speed desert stuff, I wouldn't think it would make a difference. If you plan on any trails that might be a little tight, S-cab is the only way to go.

If it's opinions you want then pick the one you like best.

If you're serious about which is better offroad then I think it's simple: The ScrewCab has zero performance advantages offroad over the SuperCab.

The SCrew is longer and heavier and the length can cause issues going over/clearing obstacles as well as turning which is probably the biggest issue between the two trucks.
