They are helpful, yes. If anyone has pictures without the tape, that would be better, but unless they're replacing old tape, why you'll they have all of the holes uncovered?

I didnt want to rip the tape off because mine is still in decent shape and i didnt have any replacement tape sorry about that

No worries. I held off on taking mine off until I had some hole plugs to try. Now they're all properly sealed up.


For whatever reason, my tape was clear.

My 2011 supercab has the black duct tape like tape. If this was summer, I would gladly get pics for you, but there's probably so much snow and sand compacted up in mine right now.

I'm not sure if this was covered in this or any other thread but I just noticed the rock guard paint starting to lift on my running boards, starting from each slot opening.

Obviously ford can save massive cost by cutting out little things like this out. But they make it so it can be easily remedy by the owner if they so desire. There's alot of little thing cut out.

I've been working to find a few more square plugs for the holes in the floor pan, shown at the bottom center of the first picture below, and I'll be ready to ship the first ten kits. I'll summarize who made the first cut here, then contact each of you via PM.


By the way, the holes I am pointing at in the additional pictures below (with the off-white tape adhesive showing through the hole) go from the road to the underside of the carpet insulation, with only a piece of tape to keep the elements out. I'm going to include plugs for those too.

You know you have to get a ton of these. You can get the regular f150 guys buying these too... You've done the leg work and be prepared for an influx of orders.

That's the plan, Jimbo. I just want to start small with an enthusiast customer base, who will provide helpful feedback during the "beta testing" period. Once everything is debugged, I'll scale up and post about the kit on FTE and other big F-150 sites. Thanks for the suggestion! It held me to think that I'm not 100% crazy. Maybe 99, or 98...

And to think that this all started when I saw this under my truck and said "WTF?" I've got to fix that because it's not going to last.
