Keeping the drain holes at the bottom clear is key, and keeping the access holes that originally had tape on them covered is key to help keep them from getting clogged by stuff collecting in the rocker because of those access holes. So I see no harm in plugging the holes that originally had tape over them.

You sir, are correct!

If you plug all those holes they will rust more. Water needs to drain from the body panels. And you need air to dry out the water. I'm on Midwest / Chicago winter #3 and no rust issues

No lps doesn't stop rust that's already formed. It's just a vapor barrier

The drain holes are still open. The plugs prevent salt and water from getting in the big holes midway up the back side of the sill/rocker panel, and the drain holes at the bottom let anything that gets in behind the running board brackets (where the holes can't be plugged) out. I chose LPS on my truck because it had less than 1,000 miles on it and has never seen salt, so the inside of the rocker panels is "pristine clean."

Anyone buying the plug kit can use whatever method they want to clean, prep, thoroughly dry, and apply rust preventive to the inside of their rockers before sealing up the big holes. Your point is valid though - care should be taken not to apply so much rust preventive as to block the drains.

I used the flat end of a large zip-tie to clean any excess LPS out of each and every drain hole after it sat overnight to thicken up.

Parts for the kits are due early next week, and I will have to sell and ship 10 kits before offering more. This is so I can get feedback about fit, function, instructions, etc. and fine tune everything before going into mass fulfillment mode. I will start at the top of the list for fairness to everyone, and I appreciate your understanding that I want to do this right and keep our Raptor rocker panels rust-free longer than many people in this forum have seen previously.

All the best,
Dave
