I too have rust issue, had no visible rust when I got the truck last year and went to iowa over thanksgiving and came back to rust....really don't feel like paying out of pocket 2 to 4 grand and not sure if ford would be able to cover it
What year is your truck? Ford corrosion warranty is 5 years from sale date I believe. If you have a 2014 you may be eligible for repair.
They will only fix it under warranty if there is perforation in the metal. I took my 2012 in for rocker repair in 2017 just before Ford's 5yr corrosion warranty was going to expire. My rockers were wet/rusted to the point I could push my finger completely through the metal on both sides. Ford did warranty repair them, the body shop that performed the work cuts out the entire rocker and welds in a new one and paints it. They said this job for both sides would have cost around $15-18k out of pocket.
