Rust on 2013 Model...???!!!

This is just another one of those "it's a 50K truck" type situations that irks me. I have a 30K honda that came with a wheel well liner and the underbody is painted and I don't see any rust, so why on a sig more expensive truck, one that's meant to be in the elements, do they not hook it up.

I agree it's BS their not standard.

Pretty much normal. You can undercoat it like everyone suggested.

Its much more of an eye sore than something that will cause problems down the road.

Mine looked like your pics, go figure a 50,000 plus truck, paint the parts!!

When you hit with the Amsoil it will look allot better, it kinda puts a semi gloss finish on it. And as suggested up top, you could paint it before you Amsoil, but after the Amsoil that surface rust is going nowhere.

After the test on that thread, trying to get the Amsoil off the steel was not that easy, it STICKS like glue, a good thing.

The HDMP is similar to the chain wax I used for bikes and quads for years and as far as I can tell the shocks are plated steel bodies, rod ends are alum.
