If you are going to criticize me, at least get your story straight. I said Ford wouldn't make a V8 Raptor. Separately I said FCA was too poor to do anything more than hellcat-ify the Ram by slapping on a blower and adding flared fenders and a lift kit.

So far I haven't been proven wrong in either case.

If you think the TRX is superior truck, by all means go buy one.

Never said it was superior nor hinted at it. I'm not comparing trucks. I'm illustrating how your magic 8 ball hasn't served you well.

Where else is the 3.5 ecoboost being used going forward?

No idea, but it's in at least 3x more vehicles now than it was a year ago. If it was that unreliable, why would Ford voluntarily take on the added liability?

Unlike Jaz, I don't think the current version of the Raptor is the greatest there ever was or ever will be. I feel the same way about the motor. If Ford has a better option, sure they'll retire it and move on with something new, just like they did with the Gen 1 V8

The 3.5 is now used in the 19 MY F150 Limited. It's crazy that a new F150 Limited is now more expensive than some Raptors depending on options.

The H.O. Ecoboost is also in the Lincoln Navigator with a MSRP of around $90K.

Ford only has the 3.5 ecoboost as an option for the F150, expedition and navigator. Nothing else will use it.

This is every bit as credible as someone saying they talked to their buddy who's a ford engineer and he said the V8 is most certainly coming. In fact, we had quite a few of those that said a V8 raptor would be here right around... Now actually.

Tons of people around here seem to have a Ford engineer friend who happens to validate their own opinion on what's coming. Very strange phenomenon in these here forums.

I hear what your saying but he is a close friend know he works there and told me that its not going to happen. Just trying to contribute here as if it was true I wouldn't mod my raptor anymore and wait for trade. Cheers

Definitely don't mod it. I learned that hear after going through the cam phaser problem, and seeing the whole cam phaser failure thread. There is an aftermarket fix, and the guy designing it said Ford's design truly is bad. With that, I think all will fail, and having any mods on your engine let's Ford off the hook for the repair.
There is credibility to the idea of the ecoboost being replaced in the raptor. We should see more in time, and I am thankful that Ford will be addressing it. I will be ready to trade my 18 in:)

So you’re saying the 3.5eb is so unreliable that Ford decided to use it in only their most premium models? You realize how retarded you sound? If this isn’t proof you’re the troll formally known as Sasquatch I don’t know what is.

I have a ton of parts in box ready to go. Cat back, Turbo adapters, Afe intake and mishimoto pipe and intercooler kit and plan to get MPT tune. I bought the extended aftermarket warranty so hoping someone will cover truck if it breaks lol.
