The base sits squarely in the tray above your nav unit.
But I have an HDS7M
That's what it sits there perfectly
Just screw it to your dash.

In your pic I couldn't see the border of the GPS and I thought it was flush-mounted. I assume now you're using a mount similar to mine.

I replaced my Lowrance Elite 5M Baja with an iPad Mini w/Retina last month. I looked at the HDS7M Touch - a very nice GPS! I thought it would be cool to have the ability to use the iPad for multiple purposes, instead of just GPS.

The Baja worked perfectly at TRR last year. I will find out this year if the iPad with MotionX GPS works as well. I'm concerned the GPS won't be as accurate. There is an option to add external GPS to the iPad for better accuracy. If it doesn't perform well enough, I'll switch to the HDMS7 Gen2 Touch.

We'll my transmission is def not right...acting real funky wouldn't even shift out of first. Even if I went to manual mode it wouldn't even let me shift gears. I has to leave it on auto And lightly cruise..as soon as I gave it any real throttle it would just float the Rpms but the truck def wasn't moving ......

Let me guess...you have a "tune?" That's probably your problem.

It's actin all types of funky but if I can' get it in manual mode it drives fine. And yes I'm tuned. And when u say the tune is the problem are you saying it is the reason my truck is not right or it's the tune itself that's spazzing out ?

I can't believe this is my first post on the FRF. So I've been trying to talk my husband into coming to TRR. After reading iSurvive tips, I'm not sure I can convince him!!! But I'm totally in. Thanks to everyone that introduced me to my new addiction.

I'd say take his man card and his balls away, but it sounds like someone already has.

In all seriousness, and no offense meant to your husband, TRR is an awesome time. It's a great way to be introduced to this type of offroading in a fairly controlled environment. And if you decide you don't like it, there are great people to pass the time with along with some other activities to have fun with.
