I have the stage 3 on my scab with the normal leaf springs (not the heavy duty ones).

I have since added Outlaw's vertical bed rack with two spares, craftsman floor jack, 5 gallons of gas and a storage bin with essentials.

question - should I go to the heavy duty leaf springs? I've noticed a bit of clunk from the rear when off roading, and checked the bump stops, looks like they have been used a bit, even though it was very light off roading.

I'm debating the same thing. My main concern is towing, but I don't want to ruin the on-road ride. I'm leaning toward the HD springs, as RPG said the ride is a bit more sports-car like. They said the SD springs are softer than stock, but are progressive.

Yea go with the hd springs if your gonna be hauling stuff most of the time like that. It'll help in the long run!

I am also looking to go to the HD springs. Because I'm carrying much more weight than when I got the RPG set up.

Also, if you have a SCREW, you may want to highly consider it. I don't know what the curb weight difference is, but they are already that much heavier.

I'm in the process of creating a tally of my modifications and what I typically carry on a run. Off the top of my head, I'm over the 500 lb mark, which puts you into HD springs.

If your running with an empty bed, sick with the standard duty, you will be glad you did.

Do your homework, try to figure out how you will be using the truck, then talk it over with Jarrett or Corey.

Finally for towing, if you have the RPG frame support and bump stop, you can get the larger bump stop. They can be easily installed while you tow, then changed out for when you go play.

I have found out that RPG is now bending (preloading?) the standard leaf springs, which they didn't do with mine that I got in October.

I have 320 pounds in my bed right now and I hit my bump stops on speed bumps on the street and going into driveways.

I went with the HD springs and have been very pleased with my on and off road performance. Even with the HDs, I see a noticeable bed sag to one side or the other when loading it up unevenly. I usually carry my 530 EXC, 15 gallons of gas, two stocked 70LB coolers, camping gear, and up to 15 bindles of wood to the desert. Once everything is off loaded, I mob with one, two, or three passengers and a WSI light rack. I only hit the stops when I know it's coming (Oh Shit Moments) and I'm glad I have the HD's!

An update on mine. The SD kept flattening out even after rearching them twice. I ended up adding a leaf to the middle of the SD pack, and now they ride great
