I am installing my Pre-Runner today and it did not come with instructions so here's my question. I assume I remove the lower stock skid-plate? I know I need to remove my upper skid but how about the lower one?

TIA

From looking at their web site yes everything comes off. Bumper, skid plate looks like the tow hooks stay

Got in touch with Jeff at RPG and this was his reply:

Remove front skid completly and for the transfer skid loosen it/ remove for the install so that everything clears , it can be run with the pre runner bumper.

-Jeff

Anyway, installing this bumper requires removing the 2 steering rack bolts and those bolts are massive. Jeff told me it was a 1-1/16 but this was too big. I prob could have remove it with the 1-1/16 but I know it would have rounded the bolt. I have a 24mm socket and that was too small. I hate not having the right tools to do the job so I am ordering a metric big socket set. This bumper will have to wait.

You don't need to touch the rear skid plate and the new skid will lay right over the top of the front edge. Try a 29 or 30mm socket on the steering rack

If I recall correctly I used a 1" socket on the bolts and used a hammer to tap it on them. It was a tight fit
