Just picked the truck up last night after Pak 1 install. I’ve driven it about 25 miles so far and it doesn’t even feel like the same truck. Not only does it have way more power but it also is just smoother overall. So far couldn’t be happier. Oh, and the throttle response is now spot on. [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]Nice keep us posted.
This may have been asked already, but is this just a PCM tune or TCM tune as well?
Not sure if this will work but just tried uploading my first YouTube video so you can hear the sound. Of course my push button start didn’t want to work so a bit of a rough start but hopefully helpful for your decision...
The tach isn’t working because I did a remote start and never touched the brake pedal and start again. I skipped the tune and just installed the roush muffler delete and cold air intake. The drone is real - the wife hates it. I had a 350Z with the nizmo package and it reminds me a lot of that sound. Some nasty reverb in the cab at certain rpms, I had ford remove the fake engine noise thinking it would help but it didn’t. It’s slightly obnoxious without being full on fast & furious Tokyo drift. I buy into sound - many luxury cars are now made louder for the driving experience and attention grabber properties. I can understand why it’s not for everyone. My buddy did the same on his 6.2L and i hear it through his Bluetooth on the phone. So I take conf calls with the truck in idle or off now. Quick and easy install on both on a Saturday afternoon. Good news is my gas mileage went from 16mpg to 16.1mpg - so basically saving $0.50 per tank which leaves me with a break even in about 30 years. That being said I can always change it to another bolt on system if I get sick of it. For now I’m enjoying it because it’s not permanent. Two questions:
1. Your tach isn't working in the video...was that already an issue, or something new with the Roush product?
2. How is it at freeway speeds...much drone inside the cab? Planning on doing a lot of trailering/traveling in a couple of years when I cut my work hours further, but don't want to go crazy w/drone on the high-mile days.
