Yes, I would opt for no exhaust. I confirmed with Roush that the warranty is voided by Ford.


True that Roush takes over the standard FoMoCo warranty for 3/36 (their warranty period) as it really boils down to the dealer and what they will do on their “lifetime power train warranty”. The dealer where I purchased and one other in the NASHVILLE area, both Roush dealers, said it/they would not void their “Lifetime Warranty” as a result. I think I am going to give the Level 1 Pak w/o the exhaust a try

2 questions:

How do you like it

If it’s done at the ford dealer will it save your warranty? I know roush backs it for 3/36000 but will ford void your warranty?

I talked to several dealers and extended warranty companies and they ALL said....Roush and Shelby mods will void the warranty...Amazed the shit out of me,since both companies are sanctioned by Ford...confusing to say the least...and if your dealer said warranty would still be good,I'd get it in writing,triple signed,and notarized by the Judge you will go before when you have to sue the dealership.....cause I dont trust dealers as far as I can throw them.
I posted a thread on this subject...which really didnt help get a real confirmed answer,but got some amazing replies from some members who dont have a clue,like.."well if anyone can afford to waste $$ on a Shelby,they should be able to afford any repairs on said vehicle,without worrying about the $$..." That one still has me mumbling to myself as I walk around shaking my head....LOL

I have it; Pac Level 2. It does not void warranty, in fact, it parallels the Ford 84 month/100,000 Ford warranty I purchased. Confirmed by Ford warranty.

I like the system. The exhaust tone isn't desireable but I have yet to hear a V6 that I could say I like.

Good question. Yes, it’s a vast difference between stock and Pak 2; night and day.

Warranty from Ford and the drivability makes this kit 100% worth it in my books.

Additionally, if the system needs an update, it does so through Ford ie. it’s automatic when it goes in service.

Not sure where you are located but I’m in Dallas. You are welcome to drive mine.

I am in Nashville, so cannot take you up on the test drive offer, unfortunately.
I had a JB4 in my 2018 Raptor but every time the truck had to go in for service, had to take it off the truck. I really think this is what I want, just trying to finalize my decision. Thanks

So, what you’re saying is, for about $1000... you can maintain factory warranty on a Raptor with an MPT, COBB, GooseTune, 5* Tune, etc... [emoji57]

What I’m getting at is, if they install this.. then you go home & add other parts (downpipe, etc.) & put another tune on it & if you ever have any issues, just swap back over to the Roush PAC tune & retain factory warranty (or warranty covered by Roush)? [emoji848]

Would there be anyway of them knowing you swapped it really? Just a time stamp? Drive cycle counts? Which could also be caused from disconnecting the battery? “Of course it was tuned... with the Roush tune.”

Roush lists this as 2019 only. Any ideas as to why it wouldn’t be the same product for 2017-2018?

I did the Roush CAI and muffler delete kit only - dealer told me don’t mess with the tune - I took their advice. I don’t mind the sound and installed it all myself, was also able to buy at cost through a family member so seemed like a no-brainer to me. Sounds like a Ford GT IMO just like the Road & Track article said it would.

Roush is not Ford. Roush modifications are not covered under the factory warranty. It's a common misconception that Roush collaborates with Ford and therefore any Roush products are warranty compliant. Simply not the truth.

If a Roush modified vehicle has an issue that can be attributed to a Roush modification, regardless of how minor, it is the dealer's responsibility to contact Roush for warranty support. Ford Motor Company DOES NOT support Roush mods nor provide warranty on Roush upgrades. Some people learn this the hard way, don't be one of those people.
