Well, the good thing is, you're not trying to rebuild it in your kitchen, sounds like you're in good hands and have the funds to build a bad ass supercharged Raptor.

Yeah it’s gonna hurt the bank account but it is what it is. I bought a 10 year old truck with almost 200 extra hp than stock so maybe I shouldn’t be that surprised, I guess I just like to punish myself haha.

When you order the Deavers, take into account what you're going to do with your truck.
I have the HD version because I thought they would be enough to stop wheel hop but they didn't.
They are a little too stiff for me but I don't tow or off-road or carry a lot of weight.

Now with the traction bars I do not need HDs

I have the Rogue Racing traction bars, they are bolt on, no drilling.

Supposedly RPG makes the same bar design, just not sure if they make them for the Gen 1

The SVC traction bars are much cheaper than the two above but require welding.
And the design is completely different.

is rogue still actually in business? I figured that after they screwed over so many people that their **** of a company got flushed.

If I was looking at the costs your looking at and had the money I would have the guy build it. With a forged bottom end you are golden, and can turn it up if you get bored. Just be sure your familiar with the downsides, forged pistons tend to knock a bit until they warm up, and you will want to turn it up.

As far as your cost break down, the header install cost should be nearly zero, just parts. The stock manifolds are going to have to come off to get the job done, with good quality header kit your only changing parts at that point, they are a good idea when you get to the 700hp level. They will make the truck louder.

Get the thing tuned by him if he is competent in the Copperhead ECM, or have JDM write you something.

I know you have issues with them but I didn't and don't.
They treated me right the three times I did business with them but that was like 6 years ago so things may have changed.

The only other Traction bars that are bolt-ons are from RPG
I really like those bars more but they were not a making them until a few months ago.
And, I just can't seem to get an answer if they make them for the Gen 1s

Thanks, any other downsides to a forged bottom end? I want to be able to get in and drive this truck anywhere. Also my next worry after this is done is the transmission, what can they handle? I can’t imagine it’s gonna last forever at 700 (crank) hp.

I know the labor would be the same for the headers I was adding in the purchase price, American Racing headers are $2100 on their website. I know the labor for the oil pump gears will be extra though.

I don’t mind the truck being a little louder but I don’t want it to drone.

I’ll have him dyno tune the truck, he’s definitely familiar with these trucks and late model mustangs and super duty’s.
