if your in a lot of stop and go traffic I would put it in manual than just put it back in drive when out .you don't have to stop for that shifth

if you have the stick in manual it will rev out and not shift up if you have it in drive it will shift at red line in manual it will not start in a hi gear and will down shift to protect your engine

I think Mr. Wilson has the right idea. Use the Manual over ride.
It seems like a good reason that that is there in the first place.

As to the 5Star tune, I wonder if there would be any issues with the dealer.
That is if he knows about it. Not sure it will show up on his Tech 2 scanner
and report it as being there and try to blame that on an other issue, as we
all know there is a FTC ruling and it holds up in court. As long as they can't
prove that the transmission tune is the cause of other issues with the drive
train.
