Takes me about 5 to 10. Not near as fast as hard top but I really wanted something below the cab height. I think long term though I might end up selling my set up next summer and getting a Go Fast Camper instead.
Yeah, initially I wanted something below the cab but don’t think it matters much. I’ve literally lost .1 mpg since adding this tent... plus I get more space in the bed of my truck.

I was interested in the GFC but I want to be able to leave my bedding in my tent at all times and the GFC you can’t with its extra slim profile.

Curious if any of you guys with a rtt that hangs out past the front runner rack. What/how did you mount max tracks? Got a front runner slim with a skycamp 2.0.

tent base hangs out past the rack. Trying to figure out how I’ll mount it. So far it’s.. in the bed or mounted underneath the rack itself.

Do you have a photo of your rig from the side/profile?

Very much - thanks. When you're in the tent, are you conscious of whether you are in the portion that sits over the rack, or outside of the support base (I.e. in the part of the tent that hangs over the back)? I have this same tent on my Jeep with full-height rack, and have wondered if switching to a lower profile rack (which would mean hanging it off the back of the truck) would possibly lead to a situation where all of my weight is technically unsupported, creating a fulcrum scenario that would effectively pull up on the opposite cab-side of the rack.

Nah i can’t tell a diff and don’t really have that thought in mind, mainly cause I’m trying to make sure my 2 boys aren’t unzipping the windows and jumping out. But I feel pretty damn safe inside. Wife enjoys it along with the kids so I think we good.
