Just remember to put it up on blocks, run it in reverse with a brick on the accelerator and you'll take those miles off the odometer.

Just don't be like Cameron, kick the car, unbalance the jack and send Dad's GT500 hurtling through the glass walls.

Bolt-on welded tubes (dual tubes - one under the door/body and the other out-board of that) with some sort of covering - expanded metal, treadplate, whatever, between the two tubes to keep the stones from hitting the Raptor's sides.

I am interested in something like this as well. For the covering between the tubes, something I think would be cool would be sheet metal that has holes that have been run through a dimple die. Something like this, but with more / smaller holes:

I bet we will have to weld due to the fully boxed frame. I know there are some options to insert some sleeves that go all of the way through the frame, but I am not sure if they will work for us.

ADD is making them. It's going to be bolt on...we looked at it today and there are a lot of access holes in the frame for bolting on. They will look at a weld-on option. I gave Jarod the key points we have discussed in the numerous threads and I'm just going to let him run with it. They have their stuff together and from everything I saw they aren't going to let something come out that doesn't perform well. I also got to see their bumpers in person and I think I might step up and get the front and read as well...taking donations now!!

Very cool BS. Glad you're going with bolt-on. I'm not a big fan of welding on frames as it's kind of frowned on by the manufacturers, dealers and well, it's permanent.

Can't wait to see what ADD comes up with!

The main question to be answered is......are they just going to be fancy steps/running boards, or can they take the weight of the Raptor on them and not deflect into the rocker?

Hey Guys. Ryan from ADD here. To Brian, thanks so much for dropping off your truck and a great pleasure getting to know you!
As to the rockers, we are pretty stoked on what all of you have talked about and believe me it will be more then strong and functional. We won't put out anything that isn't the best on the market. We also work under the understanding that these are the best trucks on the market, so if we don't put out the best products that will make your trucks even better, there is no point in putting them on the market. We also don't want to effect your warranty so we don't believe in cutting or altering your frame. I would assume all of you who spent $40 to $60k on your truck wouldn't want it's frame cut when there is no need to cut it.
Anyways, I will post pics of our progress, and the good news is, when Brian puts on the front, rear, and rocker package, we have set up a photo shoot with a major mag that will feature his truck.

Sounds great Ryan. That's all anyone can ask from a vendor - a well engineered design capable of doing the job it's designed for, excellent quality at a fair price. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with.

Maybe Phil's magazine will do a photo shoot too ;)

Let me know if any of you are interested in putting our package on. I will hook all of you up with a deal and if a few of you from Ca put it on, I would love to set up a group photo shoot for Dirt Sports Magazine and Off Road Industry Magazine. And don't worry, our bumpers and rockers don't void warranty and we don't cut or alter your frame at all. There aren't even holes drilled into the frame.
Also, Brian I forgot to talk to you about using your truck for the offroad expo at our booth. It's in Ca. We will also be looking for one more truck to display.
