Did they take off the plastic and spray and then put plastic back on tailgate?

Thats the way Line X did mine. Claimed that way all I need do is find or buy a tail gate access panel and have it sprayed to match for $50 or so if I want the plastic gone. Cool sept they stripped half the screws holding the palstic on.

See... since i don't use my truck bed as a normal truck. Like dirt and rocks and tools and crap. So... I'm thinking more along the lines of bedrug. Its about the same price as bedliner.

What do you mean by access panel? I am getting mine done tmrw. Already dropped off Vision at the place. They said they wouldn't take off my plastic.

The plastic cover on the inside of the Tailgate. The Line X place I used removed the stripper pole, then the pastic tailgate cover. With the Stripper pole / Step version you have a large open area under the palstic cover where if you did not have the step and stripper pole there would just be a metal access cover screwed on.

They removed the tailgate liner and sprayed the entire tailgate as if there was no step or pole. Then re assembled it. He said many people decide they do not want the pole and so they remove the plastic loiner and install a tailgate cover plate. Ya with me now? HAhahaaaaaaa.

I had them pull the plastic cover off too!!! Just so if i want to get rid of the handle i can and all they will have to spray is that strip of metal that bolts on.

Also had my fender flares line-x too!
