when you had it on a scanner could you see the variable camshaft timing position, the vct has 4 modes idle, part throttle, wide open throttle and default. Pcm determines the angle based on air flow and oil and coolant temp. Soooo if the angle is wrong when she warms up may cause your problem.

i only think pedal based on what might happen in a major accident. Maybe the person jammed the pedal or some shit.. Anyways. It's worth a try with perhaps a pedalmax.

brake switch bracket was bend during accident, i had to bend back straight...soooo, accelerator may have been damaged as well...new is $200.00...I just hate to waste $$$

I would think if it lost signal it would stall. Also set a code.

Yes it would. It's monitored by the cam position sensor. If you had a scanner to monitor all the sensors you may pick up something out of the ordinary.

UPDATE!!!!!

IDLE ISSUE SOLVED!!!






in the last picture you can see where the ear broke off during the accident and had to be reattached via JB WELD.
It holds fine, but it is also where the crank position sensor mounts. The repair moved the mounting position ever so slightly, and was keeping the crank
position sensor from reading the tone ring at low RPM's.

I ended up grinding about 1/16th inch of the ear off with a grinder , to push the sensor fully into its seat.
once I was comfortable it was seated correctly I replaced the intake, fuel rail, throttle body, ect...and she ran perfectly!!!!
