I want to Put a new exhaust on my '12 6.2 and crawled under it today and noticed the coffee can sized resignator on the exhaust after the cats. Has anyone removed this on their truck or do any exhaust systems delete this? I've owned diesel trucks for the past 10 years and was also wondering if this messed with the emmissions?

If you are asking about emissions with the resonator removed, I have the Roush that eliminates it and just went through my states emission check last week, passed with flying colors no worries there

ya I don't understand how I can't even hear the exhaust but at 50 to 60 it hums that is drone it is not cool and I like driving in the 50's every now and then the fix shift in to 5th but than you mpg sucks. I want to try the cat delete and see it that helps don't need them any how and if going some where I would should be a pain in the ass to put back lol. now I feel the need to check out SW some more.

I went with stainless works because I wanted headers and was the only place I could get them that was built for the truck. I was thinking about trying the resonator tip sw has but haven't asked if they will work yet. I am very satisfied with the sw power mpg sound. It would be cool to get to the raptor run and hear some of the difference in exhaust so far the best I've heard is the sw with headers but like the sound of magnaflow and borla cat back. those 3 I have heard in person

Hey Wilson, I bought the resonator tips from SW. There was a slight tone down in the exhaust but for the cost I dont think its worth it. The good thing they did was get rid of that blub blub blub the truck had at a slow pace like 5 or 10 mph.
