Remote start...

I would think it's like my wife's Lexus.. it keeps running and you have to put the key in and turn it to run. If you hit the brake before doing that it kills the engine.

It would seem odd to have it shut off then have to restart it. /shrug

yeah its odd. You start it then soon as u open a door it turns the car off. you have to put the key in the ignition .then restart it like normal.

theres a setting to change that in the info screen i think. cuz mine doesnt do that. i remote start it, i get in, and do my seatbelt, insert key and turn to on, throw in drive and go. no restarting for me, unless i take too long and get out there after the 10 min run time.

Does the raptor work like the mustangs? When u open a door it shuts off then have to put the key in and start it again?

The 10raptoes with remote start will shut off if factory due to my key feature. It can be disabled in the remote start module. Depending on what year your mustang is my guess is you have a single button fob. When you open the door and it shuts off is so that the vehicle needs to reread the key if it doesn't reread they key, ex: son or daughter have speed limit set to 55mph is top speed on there key and the door didn't shut down vehicle they could put there restricted key in ignition and will have admin privledges with no speed limiter. Same thing on new mustangs with track key. It was mainly 09-current models. It the vehicle has remote start built into key then the vehicle shouldn't shut down after being started.

Thanks, I got on the google and started reading about it. Figured out how to disable mykey and keep it running. It's kinda funny the steps to go thru and disable it lol
