So my 2011 with remote start has worked great…until my battery started to die. I would try to remote start and it didn’t work. I replaced the battery and it’s worked like a champ ever since. BTW, my key sequence is lock, start, start. If I press the start button too quickly, it won’t always work.
Would anything happen? Like the lights turn on or something? For me literally nothing happens.

I thought I had the same problem in the beginning, however it was me the user. What you must do first is hit the lock button twice real fast, and then immediately double hit the auto start button and it will work. But you must do it rapid in that sequence. Maybe I need to be a little bit clearer, not to go too fast but just in the same amount of time and in sequence.
Thanks hope this helps
I've tried every sequence I could lol, im thinking it's the battery now.

make sure the hood pin bracket isnt bent. one suggestion i have not seen yet is to hold the hood pin down with your finger and try to remote start. as far as sequence goes, its on the back of the key. lock start start. no need to hold it after the second start button
I tried that already, and I also just unplugged it and put a jumper wire in place, didn't work but I know my alarm does now lmao! Pulled the jumper out without unlocking the truck by accident

I hope the battery works for you. If it is the battery, it's a good thing the remote start was the first indicator before you had other electrical and weird issues.
Same here, and agreed, kind of stupid Ford has a higher performance truck, but doesn't include a volt meter gauge, but has two transmission temp gauges instead.

Question… does your horn blow (I believe twice) now instead of it starting? This is an indication the MIL light is illuminated. However, you didn’t mention it was on earlier. Hmmm, interesting.

Nope, it doesn't honk twice, it literally does nothing. Lock lock start start.... nothing.
