I might try getting a new hood switch and seeing if that's the issue, it's the only variable I can think of that could be preventing it.

True playing with the hood switch a bit. Sometimes it's just gummed up and playing with it can clean the contacts or something.

I've been messing with it thinking thats the issue, might be its just not making the connection anymore, was thinking maybe a way to see if that's the issue is just jamming a piece of wire into the plug and completing the circuit. Can't hurt lol.

It's like that on 2013 factory remote.

My Ford factory Gold alarm installed by dealer only requires to press and hold remote start for 3 seconds.

I just tried it again once I got too work, and it's not doing anything again, I'm not sure how it's barely working... maybe it's the hood switch? How do I find out if mine came with the factory Gold alarm? It has this little plastic plug on the driver side that if I pull out, the truck won't start. Is that a sign it has the gold alarm?
