I can better use the space under the back seat for other things I need to carry in a clean location.

Anyone come up with a good secure spot to relocate the jack?? I'm a new owner of a Raptor and I'm hoping some old hands can help me out. Back in the box is not an option right now but might be later.

Should have seen us trying to change the tire out in the sand at Sliver Lake last month! Dam what a pain. We had to go get a floor jack and use the factory jack as a safety stand. Jack it up with the floor jack, raise the factory one up to catch it if it fell and repeat the process like 10 more times... ha ha ha

I don't know JACK but I do know Shine.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Stock Jack. I can only think of a toolbox or tirerack (modify with a compartment) to hold the stock one. Hilift jacks can be mounted in all kind of places in the bed. There are number of aftermarket supporters who make a mounting bracket for 3 to 4 ton race jacks. Good luck on your search.

That stock jack is miserable. I tried to use it to get me out of snow I was stuck in. With the mildly uneven surface (I did the best I could to get it flat) it started tweaking and bending.

I threw the Ford under the seat box in mine for extra storage. It's basic plastic, but works great for stuff like a tow strap, jumper cables, and some other stuff. I left the jack where it normally lives.

Where are you guys using the high lift jack on the Raptor? The tow rings? I'd be hesitant to use the running boards. Obviously if you have aftermarket bumpers or rock sliders the answer to that is obvious - I'm talking stock.

A buddy of Trey's has a floor jack he carries with him. He took the wheels off of the bottom and put an aluminum skid (looks like a snowboard). One of the most useful (and stable) things I've seen. It's on the future tool list (including the sled mod).

yup those are usefull but be care full, sometimes when shit hits the fan and the weight of the truck doesnt support 2 hilifts due to a uneven rocky grade they can go flying and or cause serious paint damage... i know haha.
I got my 4 ton jack on sale at a local parts store, works great. I got a piece of thick plywood sitting in the back so if im ever in mud/snow ect that will act as a balanced ground.

A big tool chest is on the buy list. The one I used in the old 250 won't fit, but I carried a hydr jack, jumpers, and a big lug wrench in it. Sounds like I'll do the same here!!

Thanks for the input... I thought the factory jack looked like a piece...

I'm sure it would work fine on level pavement - which is the last place you'll likely ever need it. :whymewhyme:

i wrapped my jack in plastic and stored it inside the spare tire. the wheel has plenty of space . i have a du-ha storage under the back seat so i keep the tire irons there.
