Rear Ford Oval

How do u pop that sucker out?

Yeah what's the best way of popping that thing off?

Isn't there two parts for the rear oval, the 3m ford and then the base with camera mount that's held on by 3 screws.....correct?

Honestly I just fine sand papered my rear emblem, cleaned it with alcohol, taped it off, and used a can of the spray bed liner, that had a nice matte finish... Now I have been using canned paint for a while, and I'm not to shabby with it, so I can paint a pretty even coat. But I totally understand about the back badge, I think it looks really bad, being that it sticks out like a sore thumb.

When you pop the emblem off, you WILL break the tabs. Not sure why Ford made it that way. You can re-attach with 3M tape.

I wrapped mine in matte black vinyl.

So if I have this piece on order

and if I have this correct..., would you suggest me popping off the OEM piece even though tabs will get messed up? The new piece i have on order will have 3m backing but don't know if the OEM piece will have to be reused. Just wanted to verify as this will be the first mod that I have to suck up breaking, lol! Truck only having 100 miles on her doesn't help either
