Not if there isn't any abrasion. Water won't rust metal that is painted, but it will rust bare metal.

There's always the potential for abrasion...anything from potholes to jumps. Even dirt/sand/debris could work it's way in there.

Just curious and thinking ahead...I'd have to see the actual product on the truck to know for sure...purely speculation at this point.

I didn't say there wasn't any potential. Of course there is potential for abrasion. Keep in mind that if you keep your truck without any fender well protection, it will lead to even greater amounts of abrasion due to flying rocks, road salts, dust, dirt, mud, etc. Protect it or don't... Either way it'll eventually rust if it gets old enough.

I'll let you guys know when my 2013 I ordered with them comes in
Lucky me, your a street over! Haha!

I'm waiting on Mike to call me back with the 13' parts update. Thinking of ordering the 13' headlight assembly (depending on $$) and these liners will be in that update too. Im sure a few of us would like these two new features and could try for a group buy!?!? I can get pricing when they become available.....
A few of us severely dislike MyFordTouch so I, like others opted out the for the 13's but LOVE the HID's. I have a "custom plasti" liner, lol and it quieted the rocks a good bit. Sound wise but these liners are a first I hear. Now this is a must!

Of course some form of protection is better than none at all. I was comparing these fender well liners to Line-X or a similar product.

I saw a used raptor on the lot that had the fender wells and fender flares line-x'ed. The wells didn't look bad, but the flares were "ehhhhhh".

Travis, I asked Mike again on Fri 13th, and still nothing on the 2013 F150's as far as a parts or price list.

Yeah for sure...I think these trucks look best when the plastic fender flares and bumpers is painted...no matter what color.
