Vertex ambers on a WSI light rack.

BTW to the OP, They are great to have, but I'm not aware of any Raptor Runs where rear facing lights are "Required" as you stated?

You also want them as high as possible, not down on the tow hitch.

I wonder how hard it would be to put them in head and tailights ? (Strobes) Probably get in some good trouble if you "accidently" forgot to turn them off on the highway .

The whelen vertex LEDs are designed to be mounted in light housings. As long as they were amber I can't imagine you'd get in much trouble. Probably look more like an idiot driving down the road with flashing ambers for no reason.

Hey guys i was searching the forum and found that some Raptor runs require rear facing lights. I want to do raptor runs in the future, and i came up with a cool mounting system for a 30 Inch bar on my tow hitch.

My question is if the light has to be, or should be amber in color, or can it be white light. Thanks for the help

30" would blind people. The suggestions of aiming it down and adding an amber
lens would be good.

Mounted on the hitch may be a tick low.

City and state ordinances will vary but most places you'll be fine running a solid blue OFFROAD. It's a tricky subject because of how the law can change from place to place. I wouldn't run them on a raptor run without thoroughly knowing the laws of where I'll be and that can become a pita. I'd rather stick with ambers and not worry about it.

at least in PA, your not even allowed to have a blue light on your vehicle unless your qualified. I.e. volunteer fireman

agree.

What runs have required it?

Has anyone here run strobes on a run? I don't wanna be that *******. Lol.

it takes less than that for you to be "that guy" lol. ..

I ran a single flashing vertex at TRR on an WSI dune flag mount. I didn't hear any complaints

Don't you mean "ran a Rigid"?

Too soon???

Seriously glad you're okay.

Funny... you ****... lol...

Im not sure now were i read it but i could have sworn i read it. I may have been dreaming , i am known to do that.

The bar is modified with a diffuser over the lens and a Amber filter.

I will finish the tow hitch mount as it is 90% there. I may have to re think the mounting location
