I am having these sent out to me so I can play with the wiring. That way when I get home I know exactly what I need to do. Was gonna order through Jimmy as he had the best price I could find but someone had a pair BNIB that I snagged for $90 on eBay. Couldn't pass it up.

I'm all for getting the best price. And I'm not saying yours are, but know that there are a lot of knock off Whelen products out there.

A licensed dealer is a sure way to go.

I've been on eBay long enough I can usually tell if something's up. No red flags on this deal. Whelen packaging and all. I'll see when they get here. Reputable seller with a return policy so I'm not too worried.

you get any knowledge of knowing that you're going to be taken care of or you just taking that risk?

I usually interpret your posts pretty well but I've been struggling lately. Lol

Nope the rack will be under the cover. Although thinking of mounting above the tail lights in red.

I was thinking bumper at first, easy and convenient location. I then realized the higher probably the better due to dust or snow kick up. I'm gonna be mounting on the back of the cab up by the third break light as far outboard as they'll go and still look right. As long as I can get access inside the cab to run the wires of course.

With a tonneau, you're really limited to mounting spots. Like Mike's and many others, a hoop mounted to the top of the bedrails is really your best bet imo.

I would say the higher the better. Maybe a mount like TMX makes for top of the bed right behind the cab. Theirs are made for bigger lights I believe.
