Thanks for the responses. This is a great alternative. I'll def be ordering a set before the Snoball. Won't benefit me much but they help those out behind you.

Anytime. While they will be a huge help to folks behind you in a Snoball setting, there are everyday benefits to you also. The more likely you are to be seen, the less likely someone is going to rear end you in a poor visibility setting, either on or off-road. (Of course you should check local ordnance laws with regard to on road use, but most states seem liberal to; Rear facing marker lights, since they are used for safety and not illumination)

How did y'all mount them? I know you can get a bezel for them for surface mounting. At first I was thinking bumper because it's an easy location but then I realized for their purpose you'd probably want them up higher. Ideally I'd like to install them in the same area you have them but on the cab since I don't have a chase rack. Not sure how I feel about drilling into the cab right there though.

Trust me, they will benefit.
Every lead truck at snoball should have them.

I don't have rear facing lights and they are on the short list for me. Any truck that offroads should have something like these, IMO. When the dust starts flying it's extremely nice to be able to see the truck in front of you. I've avoided accidents on the trail solely because of these on other members' trucks. Definitely a worthwhile mod.

In fact, I get a little nervous off road when people are following me because I don't have them. Makes me less conscious on what's lying ahead and focusing on not getting rear ended. Not a good situation to be in...

Each light has two pre-drilled holes for mounting. Jimmy at WSI made two brackets that attach to the light bar and the Vertex's bolt on to them. Wired them through the 3rd brake light opening.

I think I've decided to run these with the factory bezel on the back of the cab. Should be able to drop the headliner in the back and run the wires through. I'll be running power off AUX 4 but also going to install a switch for the sync wire and a momentary switch for the scan wire. This way for runs I can turn off sync and cycle to constant on. While elsewhere I can set it for a flash pattern for greater visibility on the side of the road.

That is what they look like with the factory bezel. Obviously I'd go with black and of course you know they're much brighter than that. I've only seen them in red or blue but these suckers are blinding when flashing.

Yes, I got a set of those Bezels. Unfortuantely, they dont work on my brackets, but they do provide a nice finished look.

You will actually need to drill 4 holes for each as the holes for the bezels and the holes for the lights are different.

P.S. And you need to buy the bezels separately, they do not come with the lights...

If you install the light with the bezel there is no need to fasten the light itself. The bezel will hold it in place.

This is correct. The mounting spots on the actual light are for their hideaway strobe purpose in a light housing.

Gotcha, makes sense. That's cool.

Be sure to post up some pics after the install Mobile.
