3.5 s would be a hard fit and the kit is set up for a 12 travel shock which gives you 16in of travel. The travel is gained in the down stroke which helps keep the tires on the ground. the up travel is regulated by the bumpstops. To get any more travel you will have to notch the frame and rework the bumpstops.

Notching the frame will give you additional up travel but requires major mods, if you gain another few inches of up travel you could have 18+ travel potentially- check out Jarrett's build he notched and braced the frame but has no bed floor or inner fenders in the way. Tires start hitting ect. with more up travel unless u have fiber bedsides. 16-17 is the limit with this set up using a 12 travel shock and the lever geometry. It is designed to use all the potential travel the spring will allow with a long travel shackle and with the up travel set by aftermarket bump kits. Anything is possible though.....

Question: Where exactly is the most forward mount for the shock located on the frame? Hard to tell by the pictures. A video would be awesome. Could get a better idea of the location of pieces used in the setup.

It is located just in front of the rear body mount.

new #3 springs are in along with long travel shackles. The ride is unbelivable and ride hieght is perfect. Final adjustments and mount the straps and we are ready to roll.
