I went to 5 Star ... not North Central! You are on your own with them! You had me going there for a second on the resolution of yours! You are right that at night the camera really stinks - poor lighting on top of poor reolution equals super junky picture - I cant believe that you are not more annoyed - oh well, you experienced bikers are not used to fancy electronic stuff anyway!!! I agree - it is a resolution thing. What is amazing is that it probably would cost Ford only a dollar or 2 to put a better camera in!

Tim,
Thanks for keeping us all updated on your experience. Hope we can come up with an easy swap-in replacement cam that can fix the issues. Would love to learn who the supplier and model are for the current cam.

Hey - if you can wait a bit until my dealer finds a fix for mine - I'll certainly post up what the answer was. It'd be a shame to blow a couple hundred on a new camera if Ford can come up with a plausible solution.
I can't get in to the dealer this week due to meetings, however I plan on getting in early next week and will keep ya posted. TSB or not - if these guys can fix it, then everyone should also get a free solution.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath on Ford doing anything.

Have been researching some options...I'll post if I find anything.

I believe the cam and harness are Part No. 9L3T-19G490-BG

Might be some easy swap options.

Tim, give it 3 months and a vendor or member here will have THE FIX, you can buy it and try it out and then I will get one if I like yours! HAhahaaaa. I like the little gas shock thingy, may get one. Now hurry up and get some lights and wire them up so I can look and copy. As you saw Tuesday night, I am not built for crawling around on the floor upside down looking for wires while doing a head stand. HAhahaaaa.

I have the 2010 with the rear view mirror monitor and it's clear as day even at night for a tiny little screen.
After this thread came up I took a second and third look at it and yup CLEAR.

My nav is clear. I can see every little gravel behind me.

I've only been trying to say that THERE IS A ******* DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2011 AND 2010 MODELS FOR THREE PAGES NOW!

There, I feel better.
