Ok on a more serious note can you rig up some sort of pin to hold them back in place?

Might be able to, I was thinking the same thing. Might make it stronger than those factory pin that sheared off.

Just for the record, I haven't broken the rubber floor mats. Well shit, I did that too, slammed it on the ground to knock the crap out and it shattered those plastic clips that holds the driver side in. Ok, I haven't broken the.....shit I don't know, guess I break everything....
