I spent a good 2.5 months reading everything I could find on the forums about wheels/tires, sent pm's to a few folks that had the exact same setup up is was considering (20x9 Fuel Octanes & Goodyear Duratracs 325/60R20) to ask about any issue they had....finally got my wheels tire mounted and balanced and put on the Raptor...and they rub the backside of the wheel well really bad when turning.

I purchased wheels with a 5.5 backspace and my truck is set to the middle perch.

Did I just waste $3k?

your 325s are bigger than a 35" tire. Plus you add a rim that sticks out a little, its going to rub. My truck has the methods with stock bfgs. Its so close that if I turn full lock with mud or a small rock in the tire, it will hit the side.

I'll freely admit I'm a complete wheel & tire newb...never purchased aftermarket wheels before...and was totally in the dark about backspace and offset...so I asked...several times...on the forums and through PM's...got lots of answers...what I was told just didn't live up to reality.

There are several folks on this forum that have 325's. I asked a few about rubbing issues...as well as contacted a "professional" for advice, the #1 thing I was trying to avoid was rubbing issues...yet thats what I have.

I have no desire to raise my Raptor to the top perch.

i'll be selling the wheels and tires ASAP, keeping my stockers on until I'm home on R&R and purchase from someone local, that I can deal with face to face.

I guess you live and you learn. This time it cost me almost $4k.

0mm offset on a 9" wheel is even too much. stick to +12mm - +34mm and, with a 9" wheel and 35's and you're on the clear.

why would others with the same exact setup not have rubbing and you do? something doesn't add up. are you sure the wheels are the offset you thought they were?

What size methods? Ill be getting standards in 17x8.5 & using the stock tires. They almost rub??? Anyway to fix that issue? I'll be doing the middle perch mod, but thats all.
