2017 Raptor 450hp CONFIRMED??

I have a google news alert set up that immediately sends me any news sources/articles posted with anything Ford Raptor 2017 related.

This article claims, "Blue Oval has just confirmed that its updated 3.5L twin-turbo V6 is now capable of 450hp and 470lb-ft torque on the performance pickup, but that’s not the only benefit it brings to the table." Though I cannot find ANYTHING ANYWHERE on the net except this article claiming this.

2017 Ford F-150 Raptor: Float Like A Butterfly! – DailySun

One cool side-effect of the Google News alerts are that I've seen which sites are the absolute shit/repeat/late to the table sources. Many simply grab news stories from other places and do a half-assed attempt to make it sound like theirs and simply re-post it.

One of these absolute SHIT SOURCES is "www.autoomobile.com" I mean, you just HAVE to read this stupid ass article they posted back on June 1st, 2016. They can't even get straight in the article WHICH VEHICLE from Ford they're talking about! (Read the content very closely to see what I mean)
Cadillac XT5 To Follow ATS Coupe and Sedan – Autoomobile

Anyway, about this newest "release," how valid is it? Anyone else see something somewhere out there that Ford has "officially" announced 450hp for the Gen 2 Raptor?

Take news like this very lightly unless it comes directly from Ford. The article states it is "capable" that's it. Of course it is, we know that just as much as we know the 6.2L is also "capable".

No news here

With the base F150 for 17 confirming at 375/470 I would expect more like 450/500 but they do have electronic wastegates to bleed boost now to keep the TQ down.
Trust me this platform will make all the power you could ever think about.

Damn it - missed the word "capable" in that lame ass statement, else I wouldn't have bothered posting this. Now I want to delete this thread so as to not spread stupid information. My bad!

If I can do this with modified GT15 turbos and aux fueling/E85 on a stock Ecoboost engine (has been replicated on 2 other SHO) the truck with 30% larger turbos, better heads and beefier components with both PFI and DI will blow it away. :)

Wow, I can't wait to see what these trucks can do. I'm excited to see what livernois comes up with for a tune.
