I see RaptorFinder is now locking the VINs on the website unless you pay to see them. When did this change happen?

So it's basically $1 per VIN you wish to unlock, but minimum donation is $25.

Pretty lame, but these things cost money to keep up, so understandable.

Yeah looks like you have to spend $25 for 25 credits but one look up on a VIN cost 1 credit or $1. Sound right?

So why don't we handle this in FRF fashion and have several buy in to get 25 and either provide them in better increments to others. Granted that one person would have to look it up for you but if I was in the market for a GEN2 I would help a fellow FRF'r out.

Sounds like a solid idea.

It was a handy website for nationwide searches by equipment options and I used it to find my truck several states away.

I understand his POV wanting people to chip in and show some gratitude. I was more than happy to send him $20 after buying my truck, but I was a little disappointed he didn't even acknowledge my contribution with a thanks. A little hypocritical if he wants people to show their appreciation, but he doesn't do the same when people support him.

People can use the Ford webiste to seach inventories in a 100 mile radius and that shows a lot more trucks since some dealers don't list their entire inventory on Autotrader/Cars.com.

To get the detailed list of options if you find an interesting truck on Ford/Autotrader/Cars, just replace the VIN number in the window sticker lookup url.

Raptorfinder is a handy tool, but it isn't the only way to find a truck with the options you want.

Well that's too bad...

I used the site a bit when I was debating options and looking for different pictures of the truck. I was actually really looking forward to using it to find pics of the Race Red, Lead Foot, and the non-applique tailgate when they start arriving.

Hopefully he'll make an option for $1 donation. If not, at least he made something very useful to many past buyers. I hope it works out for him
