I've never stayed here, but the reviews are solid and I like the location of it relative to Fremont Street (might be fun to walk over one of the evenings?), and its only 10 miles from the Speedway.

El Cortez Hotel and Casino

Hard to argue with the price too; total bill came to just under $85 for a two night stay.

How's everybody on this location? I like the sounds of this one.

Another Quick update form our conference call this morning - There will be special parking for the owners who bring their own Raptor. There will also be a section for some of the off road show trucks from Vore and others in Vegas. There will be plenty of parking close by for soon to be or non Raptor owners.

Fox Racing will have a presence at the event. There will be a course through the Nellis Dunes, and I'm hearing that other areas nearby are great for taking the trucks off road. Hoping to have the guest list verified and finalized soon from Dearborn. Email blasts should be hitting many in the Vegas and Phoenix area today and tommorow. Newspaper ads will be in the Vegas paper this weekend.

As more gets confirmed, I'll try to keep you updated.

Thanks Mike for giving us the exclusive Raptor Only Parking (per my request :) ). We appreciate your taking care of us.

It's great that Fox will be there too. I hope you allow other vendors to participate as well. Perhaps even Rigid Industries?

I'm looking forward to hearing back from Ford officially letting me (us) know about our "appointments" on Saturday too.

This is gonna be fun and it'll be good to meet you and others from Ford.

Lvdezertdawg and I have been out scoping trails in the area... unfortunately most of the dirt roads in the Vegas area are now closed but there is a fun area not too far from the speedway/Nellis Dunes... basically three passes through the mountains that vary from "somewhat slow" (Kodachrome) to "medium" (Lava Butte) to "very smooth" (Rainbow Gardens). Amazing scenery and some great views of the city...

35 registered Raptor owners as of this morning.

Mike thanks for keeping us informed! One question: When we registered, there was just a pop up saying "registered". Are we getting any confirmation in the mail or anything? Always makes me nervous when I don't have an email confirmation or anything to make sure it really registered me. I'm assuming our names will just be on a list when we get there.

Thanks!

Mark, thanks to you and Ric for doing the advance party scouting work prior to our arrival!

We're all looking forward to this trip and get-together.
