I don't know what got moved in heaven and earth but I'm glad Jason and his better half, Joyce, are coming to the Raptor-stravaganza in Vegas.

So where are out of town folks staying? I've only ever stayed on the Strip before. I plan on arriving sometime on the Friday afternoon after leaving the SF Bay area at ungodly o'clock.

If your looking for a place to stay I suggest Aliante Station Casino. That's Exit 52 one exit down from the speedway and about 3 down from Nellis Dunes.

It's about 90 bucks a night, very nice hotel for locals.

I've never stayed here, but the reviews are solid and I like the location of it relative to Fremont Street (might be fun to walk over one of the evenings?), and its only 10 miles from the Speedway.

Hard to argue with the price too; total bill came to just under $85 for a two night stay.
