I'm typically the type of person that likes to have the latest and greatest. The Gen 3 reveal didn't leave me with the feeling that I needed to upgrade though, which says something. They still haven't released some very important numbers on either version though, hp/tq and msrp. Once they fill in the blanks I'll be able to decide if it's worth it to me. I won't pay above msrp though.

To answer the question: My initial gut feeling is that if the R is around the trx price point I would try to get it at msrp and if I couldn't I may settle eventually for the v6.

I would like one but will be out of my price range. I am expecting 80-90k + massive ADMs at first. ($30k?). That is if its a supercharged V8.

For now very happy with my gen 2 but the gen 3 v6 will be my next truck.

Hell no. I'm sick of wearing out 80K trucks and having to go out of state to buy without ADM. That truck (R) will be at least 125K here in SoCal (with ADM) when it finally hits the market next year I'd be willing to bet! For what some stop light bragging. Pass. Maybe a Bronco for the other half to drive (I have a 69') if they build the stick / Sasquatch next year and don't ADM it to death. At this point if I get to many miles on my 18' I think I might just sell it and get my old 96' Hummer on the road again (been sitting) and just drive that till my days are up.

How much is that TRX in the USA? I am from Toronto, so I am not aware of the market there. Are they adding ADM on them?

Eh I’d probably go with a Bronco. Depends where I’m at in life over the next year and if my wife still has a company car.
