The instructors do one lap on the baja course and that is the only time someone needs to be in the back seat. You and the co-driver switch seats often so make sure to program your seat at the beginning of the day for a quick swap. There are good breaks if your worried about car sickness. In reality if you just relax like they tell you at the beginning of the day and drink water you should be good.
