Seriously? This is really the type of arrogance you're going to respond to my legitimate post with? Noob? I've been a member here for nearly as long as you have. The only reason your post count is so much higher than mine is because you are so much cooler than I and you have so many millions of dollars to buy all these "highly modified" vehciles such as Raptor, Denali, Rubicon, Shelby, Silverado, Corvette, etc. and then come here and brag about them.

I was being polite and attempting to bring this derailed thread back to order with some discussion of factual substance, but it seems that's a lost cause if you're involved.

And "use the search function"??? What am I supposed to search... How did Boss Hoss become so cool?

Whatever... go ahead and hit the reply button and type another pretentious post. This will be my last post in your thread that is really nothing more than 8 pages of pointless mutter.

Me thinks he don't know shit and that is why he is just a wee bit arrogant. I find folks like him usually live with their Mommy in the basement slammin away on the computer being an internet warrior. However, he is the type that makes the internet entertaining.

outside of all the testosterone being spewed in here and "back on topic", kind of;

I do believe that increased production of any vehicle will eventually have a profound affect not only on resale/trade in values but as these trucks pile up as possible inventory on lots you will see the prices to be fudged downwards to get them off the lots.

But at the same time, after this year model you will most likely not see a 6.2 in a Raptor due to cafe standards and potential fees/fines that Ford would have to absorb if they continued offering it. Thus, for a certain group this could make the 6.2 Raptors more desirable going forward.

I didn't exactly make the decision to purchase a 2014 Raptor based upon future value though and really just wanted that "fun factor" right now.

On another note, While the 6.2 in the GM may have its pluses in mpg standards, I don't see how anyone could have such a short term memory as to have a desire to support a socialist govt entity for not only removing the rightful owners of GM and handing the company to the unions, for that said Govt to also lose 10 billion dollars in taxpayer funded support in this transaction, and for the CEO of the "new" GM to say he is not concerned about paying back the Govt for their loss because they made a bad investment. I looked at the new GMC 1500 and liked it, but my conscience would simply not allow me to support such a regime. not at this time.

Frankly I would have to say both those stories are a bit misleading. First story is measuring apples to oranges. The government threw a lot of our money toward electric cars, green energy and not just to Ford. This was research money and is not supposed to be "paid back". This was not a loan and Ford did not go into any type of receivership.

Second story is totally bogus. The government just sold the last of GM stick at a one billion dollar loss. What little gain that was taken was purely due to overall stock market rise and nothing to do with GM success. By the way......how much did the AWU give up in this deal to keep their jobs and their employer in business??????????????????? Answer NOTHING!!!

Just helping to keep the record straight. You see the liberals HATE Ford for NOT taking assistance and have been doing negative stories about Ford for some time now. Liberials like to be able to hold control and when they can't they tend to start name calling.
