I am getting a Chevy High Country when the 6.2 is avail. Then in 2015 or 16 when the NEW body style Raptor is out will get one depending on the engine. No interest in getting another existing body style Raptor.

Miles drive my trading plans. This one has been fun and still is--love it just getting long in the tooth.

I got you . It would suck though if they equip the new raptor in 2015 with a smaller engine for fuel economy. I jumped at the 14 because I want that 6.2.

Granted they my not change the output much, but I really like that ford 6.2

Just keep the truck & install a livernois 6.6 and fox 3.0. Guarantee this will be way better than the next gen regardless. That way trade in isn't an issue either.
Just a thought bc your TTL on your next gen raptor will be about the same amount give or take.

That is a matter of opinion but what is not that they will run the pants off of the Ford 6.2 and get 35% better mpg's even with a 6inch lift and 35 inch tires.

I looked at the 2014 Silverado at the Chevy site. Neither the 2500HD nor the 3500HD is available in a supercab version. All they have is short cabs and crew cabs. Their current engine is a 6.0L. In the 2500HD the specs are 360 hp and 380 ft-lbs, and in the 3500HD the specs are 322 hp and 380 ft-lbs. Those are pretty anemic figures compared to the Raptor's 6.2L. If that's all Chevy can get out of a 6.0L, then Ford has little to worry about when the 6.2L Chevy engine becomes available.
