being that it is 500 lbs lighter and lower to the ground and narrower it should have improved numbers , I would expect to see 25% increase across the board, especially on the highway with that 10 speed

It's not lower or narrower. But still the 10 speed/weight will help.

Wasn't there a pic somewhere on this subforum showing 17/23?

There was a picture posted with an information sheet in front in a display Raptor showing 17/23. That's the highest I would think possible so I still think it could be a misprint since there hasn't been an official Ford statement but it's definitely good news. But far from official either.

That's what great about the ecoboost. Performance when you want it and economy when you're not using that performance. The 6.2 just sucks gas regardless.

I thought Gen2 had a 3" lift which was higher than Gen1? don't know about narrower but I think it might be the same width. The 10speed + 500lb weight loss, will certainly help.

Those are some very good points. I agree.

Who's saying it's narrower and lower? Levine was just saying that it has more ground clearance (probably due to the larger tires) and the width is 7" wider than an F-150 making it right at the same size pretty much as the previous model.

No lift. Center of gravity should still be somewhat low for a desert truck, but it does have slightly bigger tires so it won't be lower than before.
