A guy in a Tesla wanted to race stoplights, I did not oblige.

I was a Tesla early adopter (Model S Signature Performance 85) and everybody and their brother wanted to race me, no matter what they were driving. I think they just wanted to see the acceleration, which was unreal. It’s fun for a bit, but then got old.

Haha ya I find it fun. Guys in things like hot Subarus do it too. With them I gather it's less envy and more "let's see what you can do." They're likely surprised a truck can keep up. When truck guys mess with me I reinforce their sensitivity with a healthy serving of throttle. Especially coal rolling diesels!

I had a 2015 f150 before my Raptor (and plenty of other trucks before the 2015) and yes people and other truck drivers seem more likely to want to call me up for a race. Sometimes I answer sometimes I say why bother... I wish Chevy did a better job branding the 6.2 as those would be the guys I wouldn't turn down..

Was mentioning this to my business partner yesterday. Other people in trucks just act like ******** around this thing, especially on the highway - something I never experienced driving a car.
I agree with this 100%. With me its usually the RAM guys on the highway. Had a guy the other day trying to pass me for about 5 miles. I was in the left hand lane doing about 75/80 and this guy kept trying to pass me, but kept getting blocked in by slower traffic. He finally found an opening and blew past me while I was doing around 75. I caught up with him only about a half a mile later while he was caught in traffic trying to get off an exit. I slowed up just enough right next to him so he could see me, which he couldnt help look over, then I just took off and went on my way. The RAM was new, and a nice truck, but NOTHING like our Raptors!

Everyone wants to race the raptor can’t blame them.
I especially like the small Crossover SUV's with their 4 cylinder motors and 150 HP that takes them a mile just to spool the engine up to reach 75MPH. These little P&%@KS always try to pass me. no matter how fast I'm going!
